Mateo Musacchio would like to remain at Milan and is waiting for a new contract proposal, assures his agent.
The defender has been at San Siro since 2017 and his contract runs to June 2021, but he dropped down the pecking order under coach Stefano Pioli.
“We spoke to (director Paolo) Maldini recently and got positive sensations from the conversation,” agent Marcello Lombilla told the Gazzetta dello Sport.

“Mateo is admired by the club and the coach too. We’d like to receive a new contract proposal, because Mateo is happy at Milan. Obviously, we’ll have to see which directors we are dealing with in August, but the desire would be to stay here.”
Argentina international Musacchio has been linked with a return to La Liga with Valencia or Real Betis.
