Torino have reportedly agreed terms with Sampdoria full-back Nicola Murru, on loan with option to buy for €6m.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the two clubs have struck a deal and the 25-year-old is expected to have his medical tomorrow.

Murru has already worked with coach Marco Giampaolo before, so should have no problems adapting to the tactics.

That could be crucial, because Toro go into this weekend’s Serie A opener against Fiorentina without injured Ricardo Rodriguez or Cristian Ansaldi.

Murru’s versatility is also a bonus, as he can play on the left or the right side of defence.

His hometown club Cagliari are owed 25 per cent of the transfer fee if Sampdoria do sell him outright.
