“Now is the time of Miranda and Murillo, two players who have come to Milan with our characteristics and want to do even better.”

The 23-year-old did admit to one frustrating aspect of Italian football, following his red card against Palermo.

“Anyone can make mistakes, but I’ve had avoidable cards. My red card, for example, was a bit exaggerated.

“The referee made the decision though, and we have to respect it. In Italy, the opponent often goes to ground at the slightest touch. But these are things you learn with experience.

“We’re only thinking about ourselves, and we’ll make sure we don’t come into conflict with the referee.”

Murillo also took the time to dismiss links to Barcelona and Real Madrid.

"I'm only thinking about Inter, and the next game against Udinese."
