Future Inter signing Jeison Murillo says playing for the Nerazzurri is ‘a dream’ and he’s looking forward to playing in Serie A.

The defender has agreed a move to the Beneamata, and will move to San Siro in the close season.

“Inter is a big name with a great history behind it,” Murillo told Corriere dello Sport.

“A club like that is a dream for any player. Inter are a great team and will win again soon, I hope I can help them.

“It’s a very competitive League [Serie A], it’s tactical and physical. It’s a great opportunity for me, and I want to take it.

“I watch their games every time they’re on, both in the League and the Europa League. They’re a strong team, and have done very well lately apart from the defeat to Fiorentina.

“I hope they get as high as possible in the League, and maybe win the Europa League.

“Mancini? I’ve not yet had the pleasure of talking to him, but of course I know of him. He’s a serious Coach, he knows what he wants and he’s done well wherever he’s been.

“Am I ready? Yes, even though I know I need to improve a lot. So far I’ve always been fighting relegation, where as Inter there are other objectives and there will be more pressure.

“That doesn’t scare me, I want to win trophies and do well at Inter.”

The defender also discussed his role models, saying he models his game on ex-Milan defender Thiago Silva.

“Thiago Silva is the best in the world for the calmness he brings to his teammates. He’s strong with both feet, and is the best around at the moment.

“[Ivan] Cordoba and [Mario] Yepes are two legends I grew up with. Cordoba has made history for Colombian football, and it was a pleasure to meet him when I went to the national team.

“Guarin? We play together for the national team, and I know him well.

“Having him as a teammate at club level too will be the best, because he’s a great person and what's more he’s having a fantastic season. That goal he scored against Celtic…

“Italians? There are so many good players, but [Andrea] Pirlo is a champions I’ve always admired.”
