Muriel, Lucca, Beto: Milan’s alternatives to Giroud and Ibra

Milan are reportedly looking for a new striker in the January transfer window as Olivier Giroud and Zlatan Ibrahimovic have suffered too many injuries this season.

Both strikers have missed nine games out of 25, while the young Pietro Pellegri sustained an injury on his first game as a starter.

Therefore, Milan are on the lookout for a new striker in the January transfer window.

Il Corriere dello Sport and Tuttosport report that the Diavoli are monitoring Udinese star Beto and Atalanta‘s forward Luis Muriel.

Beto has scored seven goals in 16 Serie A appearances, but Udinese signed him on loan with a €10m option to buy from Portimonense in the summer and are unlikely to sell him in January.

On the other hand, Muriel could leave Atalanta after the arrival of Jeremie Boga, who will undergo his medical with La Dea today.

Pisa striker Lorenzo Lucca is also being linked with Milan and the Tuscans’ president has confirmed the club’s interest in the promising striker.

“We’ve received many solicitations for Lorenzo,” Giuseppe Corrado told Radio anch’Io lo Sport, as quoted by Calciomercato.com.

“Milan and some foreign clubs are interested in him. We can talk about it in June. Lucca is a strong striker with room for improvement.”

The 21-year-old has scored six goals in 16 Serie B appearances this term.
