Atalanta forward Luis Muriel said he ‘always tries to help the team’ and insisted ‘nothing changes’ if he starts or enters off the bench.
Muriel entered with 11 minutes left against Ajax in the group stage, and the 29-year-old ended up scoring the winner to help Atalanta through to the last 16.
Ahead of the first leg against Real Madrid in the knockout stages, Muriel said his approach is the same if he’s in the line-up or one of the substitutes.

The Colombian forward enjoys playing for Gian Piero Gasperini and said he feels free to express himself with the Orobici.
“Our game has a strong identity, but the coach has never forced us to do just one thing,” he said. “We are free to make our own decisions and make our plays.
“And I believe that even the goals coming from individual actions are very useful, whenever we can, we score these goals too.”
Muriel has scored 17 times across all competitions this term, including two in the Champions League.
