Former Milan midfielder Sulley Muntari is training with Clarence Seedorf’s Deportivo La Coruna ahead of a possible transfer.

A statement on Depor’s official website confirmed Muntari had landed in Galicia on Thursday night and worked out with their first team the following morning.

He is a free agent, meaning the Spanish side can sign him immediately, despite the transfer window being closed.

The 33-year-old has been without a club since leaving Pescara at the end of last season but made almost 350 appearances for the likes of Udinese, Inter and Milan, where he worked under Seedorf for the second half of the 2013-14 campaign.

Depor, for their part, are three points adrift of safety in La Liga and face fellow strugglers Alaves this weekend.
