According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Ghanaian international midfielder’s representative Federico Pastorello has met with Grifone President Enrico Preziosi on Monday in Milan to finalise details of a six-month switch to Marassi this winter.

Muntari, currently on duty for his country in the Africa Cup of Nations held in Equatorial Guinea and Gabon, has made just four appearances for the Nerazzurri this season, playing just 157 minutes of football in Italy.

This time last year saw the 27-year-old make a similar move in the market, when he returned to the Premier League for a loan spell with Sunderland.

Genoa, meanwhile are reportedly keen to bolster their midfield options for new Coach Pasquale Marino.
