Ezequiel Munoz has joined Sampdoria on loan from Palermo, but could still go to Milan in July.

The defender’s contract is due to expire at the end of the season and he refused to sign a renewal.

Milan tried to take him on loan, but President Maurizio Zamparini said he’d rather “let him rot in the stands” for six months than allow a free move.

This evening Palermo announced they have sent Munoz to Sampdoria on a dry loan until the end of the season.
