After abandoning the Riyad Mahrez pursuit, Roma’s alternatives include Lucas Vazquez, Juan Cuadrado, Domenico Berardi and Munir El Haddadi.

Sky Sport Italia report today that Leicester City turned down the final offer for Mahrez, which stood at €35m plus €2m in bonuses, because they stood firm behind a €44m demand.

Now director of sport Monchi has to look elsewhere for a suitable Mohamed Salah replacement on the right wing.

Now director of sport Monchi has to look elsewhere for a suitable Mohamed Salah replacement on the right wing.

According to Calciomercato.it, the top name on the list is Munir, who has limited playing time at Barcelona after his loan spell at Valencia.

He turns 22 next month and contributed eight goals with three assists in 39 competitive games for Valencia last season.

The Giallorossi would hope to take Munir on loan with option to buy, but that might be difficult, as his contract expires in June 2019.

Other alternatives include Real Madrid’s Spain international Lucas Vazquez, although a €30m proposal was already rejected a few weeks ago.

Juventus don’t seem prepared to release Cuadrado, while Quincy Promes of Spartak Moscow is another option.

The most intriguing would be Berardi, who worked with new Roma Coach Eusebio Di Francesco at Sassuolo and would reunite with former Neroverdi stars Lorenzo Pellegrini and Gregoire Defrel.

Emre Mor is also back on the radar after Inter reportedly dropped their deal to sign him from Borussia Dortmund.
