Mundo Deportivo claim Inter want left-back Jordi Alba and are prepared to offer players in exchange for the veteran, but Sky Sport Italia still point to Marcos Alonso.

He is under contract with the Blaugrana until June 2024 and can play in a four-man defence or as a wing-back on the left of a five-man midfield.

That latter would be the role he’d be required to fill under Simone Inzaghi at San Siro next season.

Alba contributed five goals and 15 assists in 49 competitive games for Barcelona this term.

He also has eight goals in 74 senior caps for Spain.

Mundo Deportivo insist that rather than cash, Inter would be able to exchange some players who are of interest to the Catalans.

However, Sky Sport Italia insist there is no connection between Inter and Alba, as their first choice remains Marcos Alonso.

Alonso would also be on the Nerazzurri radar, whether or not it is part of an exchange deal with Achraf Hakimi.
