Four La Liga clubs are keen on signing Milan’s Samu Castillejo but a single issue may block any moves.

The 26-year-old Spanish winger has struggled for play time this season under coach Stefano Pioli and with the presence of Alexis Saelemaekers and Junior Messias in the squad, he is unlikely to get consistent minutes in the Lombardy capital.

As reported by Calciomercato.com, several Spanish clubs are ready to make an offer for Castillejo. These teams are Celta Vigo, Getafe, Espanyol and Mallorca, all of whom are looking for a new right winger.

The biggest obstacle stopping a potential move is the Spaniard’s salary; Castillejo earns around €2.5m net per season, which would be heavy on the interested clubs’ wage bills. The winger’s contract expires with the Milanese club in 2023.

Genoa have long been interested in Castillejo but they’ve withdrawn from the race, as Andriy Shevchenko is close to being dismissed by the Ligurian club.
