Milan's transfer strategy is largely transparent, but they have one target in the attack that is still unknown.

The Gazzetta dello Sport ran an extensive report on the Rossoneri's transfer strategy today.

They corroborated many of the established links, and in particular the club's interest in Udinese's Piotr Zielinski, Villareal's Mateo Musacchio, and Besiktas' Jose Sosa.

They also discussed some of Milan's alternatives to Musacchio. These include Valencia's Shkodran Mustafi, who is considered a touch too expensive, and Real Madrid's Alvaro Arbaleoa, who is a little old at 33, but who could join as a free agent.

La Gazzetta claim that the list of targets was redacted by Coach Vincenzo Montella himself, but they also report that there is a fourth name on the list which remains unknown.

This is the name of the striker who is supposed to replace Carlos Bacca, expected to be sold for about €30m.

While there are some odds the 'mystery man' could simply be one of the Diavolo's previously rumoured targets, such as Genoa's Leonardo Pavoletti, it seems more likely at this stage that the club is aiming for someone completely new.
