The negotiations to sell 48 per cent of the club to Thai businessman ‘Mr Bee’ have been dragging on for many months with repeated reports they are on the verge of collapse.
“He made a concrete and interesting proposal with regards to restaurants, soccer schools and merchandising,” Milan President Berlusconi told Mediaset Premium.
“This plan could guarantee €100m per year from China and another nine countries in Asia.
“It is important for us to commercialise the brand so we can compete with other clubs who have important economic resources arriving from oil.
“Mr Bee would only be taking care of the commercialisation of the brand, whereas the sporting control would remain with us.”
Today represents 30 years since Berlusconi bought Milan, who at the time were on the verge of bankruptcy.
