Milan investor Bee Taechaubol has publicly apologised to “the Inter family” after insults from his consultant Pablo Victor Dana.

It was Dana who helped broker the deal between Mr Bee and President Silvio Berlusconi to buy 48 per cent of the club.

The Qatar-based financial consultant has repeatedly commented on the transfer strategy at the club, fuelling the impression he is an advisor to the side.

However, he infuriated Taechaubol when tweeting a joke comparing Inter fans to “rats.”

“I apologize to the Inter Milan family,” wrote Mr Bee on Twitter. “@pablovdana words are not mine. He is not, and never will be, a part of AC Milan.

“Football is about sportsmanship & respect. What happened is a disgrace & we shall never tolerate this.”

He evidently had words with Dana, who until that point had refused to apologise for the offensive tweet.

Mere seconds after Taechaubol’s statement, Dana wrote this tweet: “I apologise to Inter fans for my tweet in very poor taste.”
