This afternoon Sky Sport Italia claim he touched down on Italian soil for a medical, set to complete the transfer within hours.
M’Poku had also been linked with QPR, having previous spells with Tottenham and Leyton Orient.

If the 22-year-old does sign for Cagliari, the club will be free to release Ibarbo towards Roma.
Colombian international Ibarbo has a deal to join Roma on loan with mandatory option to buy at the end of the season for €15m.
Ibarbo is even more of a priority for the Giallorossi after Juan Iturbe was diagnosed with ligament damage in the right knee and ankle.
