Cagliari are in advanced talks with Standard Liege for Paul-Jose M’Poku, as he’s the key to releasing Victor Ibarbo for Roma.

There are very strong reports that Roma have agreed to take Colombian international striker Ibarbo on loan with mandatory option to buy at the end of the season for €15m.

However, the Sardinians are only prepared to let Ibarbo go if they have a suitable replacement in hand.

Sky Sport Italia maintain that replacement is M’Poku, claiming the 22-year-old has already undergone a medical.
