Only three coaches have ever managed to beat a Jose Mourinho team by four or more goals in a League match – Pep Guardiola, Antonio Conte and Andrea Sottil.

The Special One saw his Roma side thrashed 4-0 at the Dacia Arena by Sottil’s Udinese this evening, conceding goals from Destiny Udogie, Lazar Samardzic, Roberto Pereyra and Sandi Lovric.

His worst ever defeat in a top five league fixture was when Real Madrid were humiliated 5-0 by Guardiola’s Barcelona in LaLiga on November 29, 2010.

Udinese’s result was matched by Conte’s Chelsea crushing Mourinho’s Manchester United 4-0 in the Premier League on October 23, 2016.

Never before had the former Inter coach lost by four clear goals in a Serie A fixture.

However, the worst ever career defeat was in the Europa Conference League, losing 6-1 away to Norwegians Bodo/Glimt on October 21, 2021.

Mou can hope this bodes well, seeing as Roma did recover from that group phase loss to win the entire tournament at the end of the season.

  1. Mou and Allegri are the worst manager in the league. It’s only in Italy that they would be held highly .

  2. Roma players are too heavy; their positioning when on the ball is very poor. Most annoying is the mentality of falling down theatrically and looking for free kicks. Abraham sulks a lot. They need to change their football mentality this season
