Roma have cancelled their Christmas party ahead of this weekend’s match against Atalanta.

The Giallorossi have decided to protect their staff and players as best as possible given the threat of the latest COVID variant Omicron and so have cancelled the previously planned Christmas party, which is usually held every year.

Gazzetta dello Sport highlights how the priority now for Roma is to finish 2021 in the best possible way and so the club and squad are only thinking about the upcoming match against Atalanta on Saturday and the final match of the calendar year against Sampdoria.

Roma have received some good news ahead of the Atalanta clash – Nicolò Zaniolo took part in squad training today after recovering from his muscle injury.

Chris Smalling was also on the training pitch and worked with those who played against Spezia on Monday evening. It will be clear tomorrow whether or not he’ll be able to face Atalanta at the weekend.
