According to Sky Sport Italia, José Mourinho is happy with Edin Dzeko and Borja Mayoral but still wants a new centre forward this summer.

The Special One has signed a three-year deal with the Giallorossi, who are now trying to bring new faces to the Stadio Olimpico.

Dzeko is under contract with the Serie A giants until June 2022 and during Sunday’s friendly against Ternana, the former Manchester City star took the captain’s armband.

Former Roma coach  Paulo Fonseca had dropped Dzeko and removed the captaincy from the veteran striker in January.

Roma also have Borja Mayoral, who will remain at the club on loan until the end of the season. The Giallorossi have an option to make his move permanent for €20m at the end of the season.

However, according to Sky Sport Italia, José Mourinho wants a third centre forward to join the team by the end of the summer transfer window.

The signing of a new striker doesn’t seem to be a priority for the Giallorossi who are now in talks to sign Palmeiras’ Matias Viña as a temporary replacement for Leonardo Spinazzola.
