Jose Mourinho has reportedly requested Carlos Vinicius at Roma, as he already worked with the forward at Tottenham on loan from Benfica.

The Brazilian spent this season at Spurs and contributed 10 goals with three assists in 22 competitive appearances.

However, Tottenham do not seem intent on activating the €45m option to buy, so he’ll return to Benfica.

According to Brazilian site Globoesporte, Mourinho has asked his new club Roma to go for Vinicius too.

It’d be another loan with option to buy, as his contract runs to June 2024.

Vinicius is no stranger to Italy, as he was on the Napoli books from 2018 to his €17m sale to Benfica in 2019.

Most of that was spent on loan at Rio Ave and Monaco, never making an appearance for the Partenopei.
