José Mourinho could not hide his joy before the final whistle of Roma-Feyenoord on Thursday night, but the Special One put on a show also during his post-match presser when he gifted a Conference League keyring to a Dutch journalist.

The Giallorossi have qualified for the Europa League semis after a 4-1 win over Feyenoord at the Stadio Olimpico on Thursday.

Mourinho began celebrations a minute before the final whistle, involving the Stadio Olimpico crowd and his players on the bench.

However, it didn’t end there. Feyenoord were the same opponent beaten by Mourinho’s Roma in the Conference League Final last season and the Portuguese coach had argued with a Dutch reporter after the first leg last week, saying: “If I lose a game, I don’t cry or don’t sleep for ten months.”

On Thursday night, the same journalist noted at a post-match press conference that substitutions had made the difference in the second leg in Rome and this time Mourinho reacted with a gift.

He reached the reporter and gave him a Conference League keyring, saying: “I have a gift for you, but don’t cry for another ten months because of it. You are winning the league, you are playing well, so don’t cry.”
