Mourinho to punish five Roma players after embarrassing European loss

According to reports in Italy, José Mourinho will punish five Roma players after their disappointing performance against Bodo/Glimt by sending them to the stands against Napoli.

Today, the Giallorossi return to the pitch at 17.00 UK time, hosting the Serie A leaders at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome.

Roma suffered one of the most embarrassing defeats in the club’s history earlier this week by losing 6-1 away against Bodo/Glimt in the Conference League.

Mourinho was clearly not pleased by the result and the performance of many of his players.

Among them, Marash Kumbulla, Amadou Diawara, Riccardo Calafiori, Gonzalo Villar and Borja Mayoral.

Calciomercato.com reports they will pay the highest price for Roma’s humiliating defeat in Europe as Mourinho will send them to the stands for today’s game against Napoli.

They have no injuries or suspensions, but they still won’t be available for the Giallorossi, who have lost two games in a row this week, facing defeats against Juventus in Serie A and Bodo/Glimt in the Conference League.

The Giallorossi sit fourth in the Serie A table, ten points off leaders Milan, who have a game in hand after last night’s win over Bologna.
