José Mourinho sarcastically congratulated DAZN pundit and former Lazio midfielder Marco Parolo who had hugged Lucas Leiva after the Biancocelesti’s win in the Derby delle Capitale.

Parolo left Lazio at the end of his contract last summer after seven seasons in the capital.

The former midfielder played 263 games with the Biancocelesti winning two Italian Super Cups and one Coppa Italia.

He became a pundit for DAZN at the end of his playing career and he was one of the experts commenting on the Rome derby on the sidelines at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday.

At the end of the game, his former teammate Luas Leiva celebrated the victory by hugging him and José Mourinho noticed them cheering.

Parolo also high-fived Maurizio Sarri after the final whistle and some Roma fans didn’t quite appreciate his behaviour.

During his post-match interview with DAZN, Mourinho taunted the former midfielder, saying, “congratulation on the victory.”

Later on, the Special One refused to take a post-match press conference as he disagreed with Lazio’s policy for post-match pressers.

  1. I mean no big deal , everyone had a right to cheer for who they want lol . Typical Mourinho being a bitch after a loss

  2. AGAIN! Am I missing something here? What is ‘taunting’ about saying congratulations on the victory??? Parolo is a former lazio player….all former footballer pundits are former players of one team or another. Why is Parolo being congratulated by Mourinho a case of taunting?

  3. Love Mourhinho…

He brings some life to the game. He brings emotion not trite platitiudes and politically correct comments that require many words without saying anything.

  4. Much ado about nothing. Just Mourinho trying to give his team an edge by showing he will defend them any way he can.
