Jose Mourinho was so enraged at Roma’s performance against Cremonese in the Coppa Italia quarter-final that he stormed off before half-time and then made four substitutions.

The Giallorossi were trailing 1-0 to Cremonese after Cyriel Dessers converted a penalty, which in itself was gifted by Marash Kumbulla’s horrible defensive error.

When his defenders gave the ball away cheaply again in the final third, Mourinho stormed off from the touchline and down the tunnel to the locker room.

It was only the 43rd minute, so there were another two minutes plus injury time to play.

The coach was evidently planning something big and he made four substitutions during the break, throwing on Paulo Dybala, Nemanja Matic, Chris Smalling and Nicola Zalewski for Kumbulla, Cristian Volpato, Gianluca Mancini and Bryan Cristante.

The crowd was not happy with the performance either, with loud jeers towards their team as they went off for the half-time break at the Stadio Olimpico.
