Jose Mourinho had a touching reunion with his former Inter player Dejan Stankovic on the touchline and then made Roma fans stop insulting chants towards the Sampdoria coach.

The pair worked together when winning the legendary Treble at San Siro in 2010, lifting the Serie A, Champions League and Coppa Italia trophies in one season.

It is always a special moment when these two meet again and they had an embrace before kick-off at the Stadio Olimpico.

Mourinho also showed some class during the match when Sampdoria went down to 10 men and Stankovic reacted furiously with his protests.

Roma ultras in the Curva Sud began to make insulting and racist chants towards Serbian Stankovic, who also played for Lazio during his career.

Hearing these chants, Mourinho walked off his bench towards that end of the stadium and waved to make them stop.

When they did, he held up a thumb to thank them for that co-operation.
