Former Roma coach José Mourinho continued protesting the referee and VAR on social media after his side, Fenerbahce, secured a 3-2 win over Trabzonspor on Sunday.

Goals from ex-Serie A stars Edin Dzeko and Sofyan Amrabat contributed to Fenerbahce’s latest victory in the Turkish Super Lig on Sunday.

However, Mourinho was furious with VAR and the referee, who awarded two penalty kicks to his opponents.

“The man of the match was [VAR official] Atilla Karaoglan,” said Mourinho, as quoted by BBC.

“We didn’t see him but he was the referee. The referee was just a little boy who was there on the pitch, but the referee was Atilla Karaoglan.

“He goes from the invisible man to the most important man in the match.

“I blame the Fenerbahce people that brought me here,” he continued. “They told me only half of the truth.

“They didn’t tell me the whole truth because if they told me the whole truth, I wouldn’t come.

“But, with half of the truth and my boys, we fight opponents and the system.”

“Karaoglan was alert to give the two penalty decisions which the referee didn’t give and then he was having Turkish tea when it was a clear penalty for us and he didn’t give it.”

The Special One continued his protest on social media on Monday.

The ex-Roma and Inter coach posted two pictures in his Instagram stories, making his frustration clear despite a hard-fought victory.
