José Mourinho predicts Italy will win against Belgium but adds: ‘I have to say so, otherwise they are going to kill me tomorrow…’

The Special One will land in Rome on Friday to begin his tenure with the Giallorossi.

While waiting for the beginning of his spell in the Capital,  the Special One keeps commenting on the Euros on Talk Sport.

The Portuguese tactician was asked to name the UEFA Euro 20202 semi-finalists and, as it usually happens, came out with a smart reply when it came to predicting Belgium vs. Italy.

“England [will qualify] for sure, and I would say Denmark against Czech Republic,” the former Tottenham Hotspur coach predicted.

“Belgium against Italy? That’s a big one..if I don’t say Italy, tomorrow I land and they kill me, so I have to say Italy.

“And I say Spain against Switzerland, but this is another big one and Xhaka is not playing.”

The Switzerland captain is suspended for the quarter-finals against Luis Enrique’s side and Mourinho is keeping a close eye on him as he is pushing to bring the Arsenal midfielder to Rome.

Italy meet Belgium in the quarter-finals at Munich’s Allianz Arena on Friday. The same day Mourinho lands in the Capital to begin his spell as the Giallorossi’s head coach. Roma will begin their pre-season on July 6 at Trigoria.
