Mourinho: ‘In control against Juventus’

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho insists “in the first 15-20 minutes we were totally in control” against Juventus.

The Red Devils came from a goal down to win the Champions League match late on, the latest in a series of comebacks.

“If you want to go in a positive way, it’s easy to feel that we are not a team that gives up,” Mourinho said in his Press conference ahead of the Manchester City game.

The Red Devils came from a goal down to win the Champions League match late on, the latest in a series of comebacks.

“If you want to go in a positive way, it’s easy to feel that we are not a team that gives up,” Mourinho said in his Press conference ahead of the Manchester City game.

“We are a team that always finds a way to fight back, sometimes changing results other times not, but we’re a team that has that collective spirit to fight back.

“It’s not always possible, so if we keep conceding goals before the opponent, the day will arrive where we cannot come back.

“So we have to make sure that we grow up, not just in our approach because I think it’s clear the team is growing up in that, but we have to grow up in our compactness and starting matches well.

“Which, I have to say, against Juventus happened. Against Juventus we conceded the goal in minute 60 or something like that, and we had a good start.

“I would even say that in the first 15-20 minutes we were totally in control.”
