Jose Mourinho reportedly spoke to Andrea Belotti yesterday to reiterate his desire to bring him to the Italian capital as Roma continue working on making space in their squad.

Over six weeks after his contract expired with Torino, the 28-year-old Italian forward is still without a club, and he’s starting to get anxious now. Last week the indications suggested that Belotti would wait until the start of this week to make a decision, something that Mourinho clearly took note of.

The Portuguese coach reportedly contacted Belotti yesterday to underline his desire to add him to the squad and further discuss the project in the Italian capital. The Italian forward is interested in the move and has seemingly turned down offers from Galatasaray and Nice recently in order to try and secure the transfer.

Tiago Pinto is now in Milan, hard at work trying to re-home some of the Giallorossi’s redundant players. The hope is that Roma could proceed regardless of what happens to Eldor Shomurodov, as the departure of either Justin Kluivert or Felix Afena-Gyan could be enough to unblock things.

Belotti is willing to wait a little longer, but Roma certainly cannot afford to take their time now as the month starts to draw to a close.

  1. Thing is roma have dybala and zaniola behind the sole CF=Abraham – Belotti will be on the bench ? – dont think he would want that – however not many clubs have been after him.

Im sure mourinho will rotate the forwards around – so they stay fit – surprised Atalanta are not after him and sell Muriel (even though muriel been really good for them)
