José Mourinho said would he wants to take to Rome a striker ‘who can score 30 goals’ and according to Il Corriere dello Sport there are four forwards on the Special One’s shopping list.

“Tell me where I can get a striker who can score 30 goals and I’ll take him in the luggage to Rome,” Mourinho told Talk Sport after England’s win over Croatia on Sunday.

Roma will begin the pre-season under the Portuguese tactician at the beginning of July and according to several reports in Italy, Mourinho already informed the club’s directors that he needs a new striker in the capital.

Mourinho changes the methods at Roma

Mourinho is an admirer of Edin Dzeko and wants him to stay, but the Giallorossi coach believes another centre-forward should join him at the Stadio Olimpico and Il Corriere dello Sport reports there are at least four names in his shopping list.

Torino‘s Andrea Belotti will see his contract expire in June 2022, and Roma have already made two bids to sign the Torino striker who is also part of the Italy national team at Euro 2020.

Zenit striker Sardar Azmoun has also been linked with a move to the Stadio Olimpico although he could soon sign a contract extension with the Russian club.

Roma are also keeping a close eye on Alexander Isak and Patson Daka who scored 34 goals in 42 games with RB Salzburg in 2020-21.

Meantime, Dzeko’s agent Alessandro Lucci will meet Roma directors next week to discuss the future of the former Manchester City forward who has one year remaining in his contract at the Stadio Olimpico.
