Roma are hoping to make the most of the increasingly tense situation between Jadon Sancho and Manchester United by making a January swoop for the England international.

The 23-year-old was dropped by manager Erik ten Hag, then they had a bitter row over social media and interviews blaming each other for the lack of playing time.

Just as things seemed to be getting closer to a resolution, it was reported Sancho had been banned from even using the first team facilities at the training ground.

Ten Hag and the English players in the squad warned he could not return until he apologised for his outburst.

With all that in mind, Il Romanista and others report that Jose Mourinho would relish having Sancho in his group at the Stadio Olimpico.

There are a few potential paths towards Roma for Sancho, as he could be sent out on loan in January to rediscover his form and confidence.

If the situation continues to deteriorate, then a contract termination by mutual consent is also possible, which would make him a free agent.

It is a remarkable fall from grace considering Manchester United paid €85m to sign Sancho from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2021.

  1. Why he is rubbish. Leave him where he is. We have enough rubbish in Serie A already we certainly don’t need more taking valuable places away from Italian youngsters.

  2. Seria Anything but Italians needs to change
Can’t wait to see this average player in Seria Anything but Italians,
