According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Roma boss José Mourinho confronted referee Luca Pairetto after the Giallorossi’s 1-0 loss at Bologna.

Mourinho was not impressed by Pairetto’s refereeing. The 37-year-old booked Tammy Abraham and Rick Karsdorp, meaning they will miss Saturday’s Serie A clash against Inter.

Nicolò Zaniolo was also shown a yellow card for diving, prompting Mourinho to suggest the Italian starlet leave Serie A, where he is not protected enough by referees.

Referee Pairetto slammed as ‘arrogant’ after Abraham yellow card

According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Mourinho confronted the referee in the tunnel of the Stadio Dall’Ara, asking for an explanation for his decisions.

Mourinho was visibly frustrated during his post-match interview with DAZN where he claimed he had to replace Gianluca Mancini to avoid another yellow card which would lead to a suspension for the next match.

He left the interview after saying Zaniolo should consider leaving Serie A and while the journalist was about to ask another question.

  1. Yeah right because Tammy Abraham is 2000-2001 version of Batistuta and Karsdorp is Cafu… please. Inter had a last minute VAR penalty awarded against them vs juve, not to mention penalties awarded for Lazio and Sassuolo against Inter and Fiorentina scored against Inter after Skriniar was fouled in the buildup so calm down. Roma last season were favoured against Inter when Veretout pushed Barella leading to Roma scoring at Olimpico, I guess Inter are the reason they lost to Verona, Lazio, juve, Milan not to mention the famous Bodo Glimt game…
