Jose Mourinho could be reunited with Tanguy Ndombele at Roma after Antonio Conte’s comments suggested he did not want to keep the midfielder at Tottenham Hotspur.

The 25-year-old has made only five appearances in all competition since Conte took over from Nuno Espirito Santo.

Conte was asked about Ndombele’s role during a press conference this week and his comments, a shrugged “he’s a midfielder. I think… he is a midfielder” did not inspire confidence.

Ndombele has been overtaken in the pecking order by Harry Winks under Conte.

He was a regular under Mourinho, scoring six goals and providing five assists in his 57 official matches in 2019-20 and 2020-21.

Mou was fired by Spurs in April 2021 and could now reunite with Ndombele at the Stadio Olimpico, according to Calciomercato.com.

The transfer valuation is €30m, so Roma would only be able to take him on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season.

He has seven senior caps for France and cost €60m to sign from Olympique Lyonnais in 2019.

  1. Quit with the 100% made up stories, Football Italia lol.

These “links” are rubbish, by and large.

And the site seems to have turned into a Spurs fanzine for some bizarre reason.

  2. isn’t he same type of player like veretout? Roma needs defensive midfielder someone better than cristante for the offensive side Pellegrini, Mkhiteriyan and Veretout are good enough

  3. @FERBAN, haven’t you known for some time now? They want their site to be popular among the English people (EPL fans especially).
