Roma coach Jose Mourinho is seeking a reunion with Eric Bailly and Manchester United have reportedly set the price-tag at €10m.

The centre-back was one of the first players that Mourinho brought in at Old Trafford in the summer of 2016, a transfer that cost United €38m to get him from Villarreal.

With a contract running to June 2024, and an option for a further year, the 28-year-old has dropped down the pecking order at Manchester United in recent years and is on the market.

According to Mirror Football, the asking price is believed to be circa €10m, although Roma may well request a loan with option to buy first.

The Ivory Coast international made only seven appearances for Manchester United last season, for a grand total of just 487 minutes of football.

It would also be a reunion for Bailly with former United defender Chris Smalling, who has found a new lease of life at the Stadio Olimpico, winning the Europa Conference League.

Bailly has also been mentioned as a possible loan deal for Milan, although they seem to be looking at other targets.

  1. Dont rate him, reckless defender, got too many clangers in him. Senesi of Feyenoord is the defender we should be going after. Forza Roma.

  2. Mourinho knows how to use him and make him to work harder if not, he is not the type that will give Roma joy. Let’s see, he could change ans surprise us.
