Wilfried Singo has quietly emerged as one of the best right backs in Serie A this season and Roma have started making a move for the Juventus target, reports detail.

The 22-year-old Ivorian full back has been impressing under Ivan Juric this season and has grown into one of the brightest stars in the Granata squad, pushing them to try and lock him down to a new contract.

Juventus have long had their eye on Singo, believing him to be the perfect long-term replacement for Juan Cuadrado, but now they’re facing serious competition from the Italian capital.

Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com details how Jose Mourinho has specifically asked Roma to make a move for Singo, wanting to add him to the growing project in the Eternal City.

The Giallorossi have already contacted the 22-year-old’s entourage and they’re now hoping to convince him to accept the move to Rome, trying to beat out Juventus for the right back’s signature.
