According to Calciomercato.com, one of the most important choices left to the coach will be whether Mkhitaryan stays or goes.

The Armenian was signed from Arsenal on loan for €3.1m in September 2019 and made the move permanent a year later.

His contract is due to expire this summer, although there is an option to extend, believed to be worth €3.5m per season net.

Mkhitaryan and Mourinho famously had a fractious rapport at Manchester United and that was one of the reasons why he left the club.

With that in mind, the pair have to meet and discuss the situation, or Mkhitaryan could even walk away.

The player has found form in Rome, contributing 12 goals and 13 assists in 43 competitive games this season.
