Already a title-winner in France with Montpellier, the attacking wide midfielder completed his transfer to Bologna last week.

“I immediately wanted to be part of this club’s project because it seems really promising and interesting,” said the man who turns 28 later this month.

“I want to thank this club for allowing me to come to Serie A. I had talks with (director Pantaleo) Corvino at the start of the summer, then when he came back to me I had realised Bologna were the right team for me.

“In a trident attack I always played on the left, but I am at the disposal of the Coach and can quite happily move to the right or act as a support striker.

“One of the players who influenced me the most was Zidane, whereas I am most inspired by Robben as a reference point for my playing style.

“I haven’t played a game yet and have only been here for a week, but I can already tell there’s a lot more focus on tactics in Serie A. I can’t wait to get started and will try to adapt to the Italian style.”
