More reports Milan lost Renato Sanches to PSG

Reports are spreading rapidly that Milan have lost out on Renato Sanches, as he is now determined to join PSG, even if they are offering a lower transfer fee to LOSC.

The midfielder had been on the Rossoneri’s radar for many months and with his contract set to expire in June 2023, will be sold this summer.

Milan had reportedly offered circa €18m including bonuses, a fee that Lille had rejected, but they were confident the player was eager to join them.

The situation has now changed, as multiple sources including Le Parisien, Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio and le10sport all claim today that Renato Sanches is now determined to join Paris Saint-Germain instead.

He was convinced by new director of sport Luis Campos, the man who had first engineered his transfer to LOSC in 2019.

There will also be a reunion at PSG with former Lille coach Christophe Galtier, who is set to take over from Mauricio Pochettino after terminating his contract with OGC Nice.

It would be the second LOSC player that Milan have lost out on after Sven Botman opted for Newcastle United.

However, while that was a bidding war they backed out of at €37m plus bonuses, in this case the reports all state PSG have offered only €10m.
