Massimo Moratti recognises Inter’s recent improvement and has also indicated that Claudio Ranieri could have money to spend in January.

The Nerazzurri moved up to fifth in the table in Week 16 after a third consecutive League win. It also coincided with the side’s third clean sheet in a row.

“Step by step we are recovering, so that is good,” commented the President outside his offices in Milan, before also confirming that Ranieri could see the players with pace he has reportedly requested arrive in the winter transfer market.

“Yes, we’ll see. I think that in such a deep squad there is a bit of everything. However, I believe he has something specific in mind, so we’ll try to understand what he means.”

Uncertainty still remains though on Juraj Kucka’s future. Bought by Inter in the summer in exchange with Emiliano Viviano, the agreement was thought to be that both players would remain at their original clubs until switching in January. Asked to confirm this, Moratti was less than conclusive.

“I really don’t know. I have to speak with the others regarding this situation.”
