Former Inter President Massimo Moratti has claimed Suning have the ‘resources and competence’ to bring Lionel Messi to San Siro.

As Inter prepare to face Shakhtar Donetsk in the semi-finals of the Europa League on Monday, the former Nerazzurri chief continues to talk about a possible move for Barcelona talisman Messi.

“I’m just a fan and I don’t have any confidential news,” Moratti said, according to Tuttomercatoweb. “But I know one thing. When it comes to resources and competence, Suning has what it takes to bring the Argentine to Milan.”

Moratti also spoke about Juventus and their new coach Andrea Pirlo.

“[President Andrea] Agnelli was brave and I’m very intrigued by this choice,” Moratti added. “He deserves comparisons with [Real Madrid coach Zinedine] Zidane and [Manchester City coach Pep] Guardiola for his history as a champion.

“It will be interesting to verify the outcome of this bet.”
