The English media continue to maintain that Liverpool have offered £8.5m, whereas the Italian sources insist it is worth £10.2m.
“There are opportunities to be taken and at times players can have the chance to get more playing time. This is why I think it can be a great opportunity for Coutinho and a deal that could go well for us too,” Moratti told Sky Sport Italia.
It is widely reported that Inter will immediately reinvest the money to buy Paulinho from Corinthians for €20m.
“He is very expensive, without doubt, but we’ll see over the next few days whether this is a concrete opportunity for us or not.”
It is also confirmed that Mario Balotelli’s contract includes a clause giving Inter first choice if he leaves Manchester City. Moratti was asked if it would irritate them to see Balotelli at Milan.
