The businessman was in charge of the club for two decades before selling his shares to Indonesian investor Erick Thohir.

“The trophy I remember most fondly is the Champions League, though that is obvious,” Moratti told Mediaset Premium Sport.

“Having said that, I have a special place for the Scudetto we won through the courts, as I found that to be only right. The 2010 title made me suffer more than any other.”

In 2006 the Scudetto was stripped from Juventus and handed to Inter as part of the Calciopoli scandal.

It is sometimes referred to by critics of the decision as the ‘Cardboard Scudetto,’ maintaining that if it had to be removed from Juve’s tally, then it should’ve been left unassigned.

Inter finished third that season, though Juve and Milan were docked points after the trial.

Moratti was also asked whether Mourinho or legendary Herrera was the greatest Coach Inter had ever had.

“Mourinho. The player who gave the fans the strongest emotions, which is the essence of football, was Ronaldo. Another player who helped us win a great deal was Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

“Alvaro Recoba was always a dream for me. You put him on the pitch and knew he could at any moment come up with the most beautiful thing you’d ever seen. I am proud of all my players.”
