Moratti has faith in Rafa

Inter President Massimo Moratti has reiterated that he has full confidence in Rafa Benitez after a rocky patch last month.

For a moment it looked as though the Spanish tactician would be dismissed, but back-to-back wins have steadied the ship.

"I have a lot of confidence in Benitez and in the personnel that I have at my disposition," Moratti said.

"But I know that there are important and useful interventions that need making in the January transfer window and we will decide what to do together with the Coach."

Moratti was then a little sarcastic about former Inter talisman Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who left the club for Barcelona in 2009 ostensibly to win the Champions League.

Inter ended up winning the treble and Ibrahimovic is now back in Italy, albeit at cross-town rivals Milan.

"Ibrahimovic left Inter in the wrong year," Moratti joked. "He has always been nice to me and I find it hard to criticise him.

"I believe he left to win the Champions League, but he got the year wrong and the great satisfaction of his former teammates was in winning it this way."
