While Barcelona coach Xavi confirms the interest in Juventus forward Alvaro Morata, the striker’s wife has reportedly told his closest friends that she would move to Spain.

Morata’s stay at Juventus ends in June as the Bianconeri are unwilling to make his move permanent for €35m.

The Bianconeri have already spent €20m for the player’s two-year loan from Atletico Madrid.

According to Goal.com, Morata has already agreed on an 18-month loan at the Nou Camp and has already spoken to Xavi regarding a possible January transfer.

During a press conference yesterday, the Catalans coach confirmed that Morata is one of Barcelona’s targets in the winter transfer window.

According to Il Corriere della Sera journalist Massimiliano Nerozzi, Morata is so keen to join Barcelona that his wife Alice Campello has said to some of his closest friends that she will soon move to Spain.

Juventus must find a replacement before giving the green light to Morata’s departure, but the Serie A giants have a tiny transfer budget and can only sign players for free or on loan with an option to buy.
