According to multiple reports in Italy, Alvaro Morata wants to stay at Juventus, but Arsenal are ready to offer €30m to sign the Spaniard.

Morata’s two-year spell in Turin ends in the summer and Juventus won’t activate their €35m option to make his move permanent. The Old Lady has already invested €20m in the player’s temporary transfer in 2020 and is unwilling to offer more than €15m to sign him on a permanent deal.

Il Corriere dello Sport and SportMediaset suggest that Arsenal are ready to offer €30m to Atletico Madrid to sign Morata in the summer. That would be enough to persuade the Colchoneros to sell Morata, whose contract at the Wanda Metropolitano runs out in 2023.

The 29-year-old would like to remain in Turin but is aware that his future at the club does not depend on him. Juventus are trying to negotiate a lower fee with Atletico Madrid, but the La Liga giants are in no rush to reach an agreement, especially for a lower fee than €30-35m.

It remains to be seen if the Spain international will agree to return to the Premier League after his troublesome time at Chelsea, where he scored 24 goals in 72 appearances between 2017 and 2019.

  1. @Frankie True but he can be Atletico’s problem when Juve send him back. 35 mill option is crazy.

  2. Yes I agree. Not worth the 35 million. Raspadori will be a cheaper, younger and good compliment with dusan

  3. Anyone get the impression tjay Football Italia troll their own forums here? Perhaps not in this thread but it’s interesting how certain comments get through and others are heavily censored. Almost as if they’re inter fans.
