Alvaro Morata revealed his desire to stay with Juventus but highlighted that ‘the future doesn’t depend’ on him.

The 29-year-old Spaniard has been a regular feature of Massimiliano Allegri’s Bianconeri side this season, being a productive forward despite scoring single digits in Serie A this campaign. He is an important part of the attack, often bringing teammates into play and keeping attacks alive.

Speaking to Spanish newspaper AS, Morata discussed his future and his happiness at Juventus.

“I want to stay, but the future does not depend on me. Next year, if it is not possible to continue here, I will still be the first Bianconeri fan.”

Morata joined Juventus in a two-year loan deal from Atletico Madrid, which cost the Turin side €20m. They can make his stay permanent for €35m, a high fee that the Bianconeri would like to knock down significantly.

The former Chelsea and Real Madrid man has made 40 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 2681 minutes. In that time, he’s scored 11 goals and provided seven assists. His attacking contributions will be especially important next season following the departure of Paulo Dybala.

  1. Maybe, if they can get discount, he is better than kean, can play a bit wider, as backup.. useful weapon, but not worth 55 mil total, if they can lower that price for 20 mil it would be great

  2. They’re asking for crazy money so bye bye, Morata. Sure if you have to choose between him and Kean, then he’s more useful but that’s like choosing between cholera and syphilis.
