Alvaro Morata has reportedly not lost hope of joining Barcelona in January, as his agent works with Atletico Madrid and Juventus to find a way through.

It is a complex operation because of the striker’s current status and needing three clubs to reach an agreement.

Morata is owned by Atletico Madrid with a contract to June 2023.

He joined Juventus in September 2020 on a two-season loan worth €20m with option to buy for a further €35m.

It has become abundantly clear the Bianconeri do not wish to activate that option, but coach Max Allegri is not particularly eager to let the striker go in January either, even with the arrival of Dusan Vlahovic from Fiorentina.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Sport Mediaset, Sport and others, Morata’s agent Juanma Lopez is currently meeting with Atletico Madrid to find a way this move to Barcelona can happen.

Atleti are putting on the brakes, as they will only let him leave for one of their Liga rivals if there is a guarantee Barcelona will pay the €35m to buy outright.

The six-month loan would also benefit Juventus financially, as Barcelona would have to pay them €5m, half the €10m already paid to Atletico Madrid for this season.

The other issue is that Barca need to get rid of Ousmane Dembele and there could be progress on that front, as there are reports in Spain today that he has finally agreed to consider a January exit rather than let his contract run down.

  1. If anybody needs to get out from Juve then it’s better be morata

Kean can stll act like a backup for Dusan but morata’s time surely end at Juve

He didn’t play well recently and looks like dont want to play again for Juve
