Alvaro Morata feels the Champions League win at Manchester City “is a starting point” for the new Juventus.

The Bianconeri had got off to their worst ever Serie A start with one point from three games, but fought back from a controversial Giorgio Chiellini own goal to conquer the Etihad.

“It’s a very important victory for us,” Morata told Mediaset Premium after the 2-1 success.

“It’s a very important victory for us,” Morata told Mediaset Premium after the 2-1 success.

“We didn’t start the season in the best way, as we changed a great deal and need to get used to playing together.

“Today is a starting point, because when we all play together the way we know how, we are among the strongest teams in Europe.

“I worked hard to help out the defence throughout the game and was fortunate enough to score a goal too. I think this is a great starting point for Juve.”
