Paulo Dybala is expected to be at least on the Juventus bench against Roma, but could be joined by Alvaro Morata, who is progressing quicker than expected.

The pair of strikers both sustained muscular injuries during the victory over Sampdoria last month.

La Joya had a less serious issue to his left thigh and is widely expected to be in the group facing Roma this weekend.

The news today from reporters in Turin is that Morata has also been training with more advanced exercises than predicted at this stage.

It suggests the Spain international could be back for the Champions League clash with Zenit St Petersburg next week.

There could even be a spot in the squad for the Roma match, but it is still ahead of schedule, considering Morata was not expected back until the Inter encounter on October 24.

Adrien Rabiot will miss the Roma fixture this weekend after testing positive for COVID-19 while on international duty with France.

Today several players returned to the Continassa training centre from international duty, including the Italy players, Dejan Kulusevski, Matthijs de Ligt, Wojciech Szczesny and Aaron Ramsey.
